Pet Beds & Crates Sizing Guide
🛏️ Pet Beds & Mats Sizing Guide
Bed size should match your pet's natural sleeping position, not just their standing length. A dog who sleeps fully stretched needs significantly more space than one who curls tightly — always observe before measuring.
📏 How to Measure Your Pet
- Observe your pet in their natural sleeping position (curled or fully stretched).
- Measure their length and width in that position.
- Add 6–12" to both dimensions for a comfortable, unrestricted fit.
📊 Pet Bed Sizing Chart
| Bed Size | Dimensions | Pet Weight | Common Breeds |
|---|---|---|---|
| XS | 18" x 14" | Up to 5 lbs | Chihuahua, Teacup breeds |
| S | 24" x 18" | 5 – 15 lbs | Pomeranian, Toy Poodle, Maltese |
| M | 30" x 24" | 15 – 30 lbs | Pug, French Bulldog, Beagle |
| L | 36" x 28" | 30 – 60 lbs | Cocker Spaniel, Boxer, Collie |
| XL | 42" x 34" | 60 – 90 lbs | Golden Retriever, Labrador, German Shepherd |
| 2XL | 48" x 40" | 90+ lbs | Great Dane, Mastiff, Saint Bernard |
💡 Tip: For dogs who stretch out fully when sleeping, use the stretched length + 12" as your minimum bed length. When in doubt, size up — a bed that's too large is always better than one that's too small.
